Took a boatload (That's a meagre six persons on a B25) down past Windsor today for a cruise, and what a glorious day!
The weather was utterly lovely, river flow was slightly up on normal (Whats normal these days though?) but still the river was very quiet for a fine Summers day.
The locks were nice and full, so plenty of folk to meet, but no tangible queues, locies seemed in better spirits, and we found plenty of mooring space for a lovely picnic on the bank.
Three hours each way, every docking was of a most satisfactory standard, and the guests/ crew all enjoyed themselves. We even got to see a few fellow forumites out and about...
This is what it's all about /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The only slight mar on the day was a raw water coolant leak from the rear of the exhaust manifold, but a nip up with a trusty 13mm spanner appeared to arrest the flow, which gives me a few weeks to source a new gasket (Only two studs, not the entire thing!) and spend fifteen minutes fitting it carefully.
Even that ended in smiles. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Very happy bunnies over here.....
