A lovely sailing day

Hi Folks

I was busy doing essential maintenance, following a major engine rebuild spent most of the weekend finishing a few jobs (ok, neverending list) and running the engine in
A few more jobs done and I'll be out playing once again, now that it has warmed up a little I'll put the sails back on again and hope to get away over the next few weekends.
The engine rebuild has taken a few months so hoping that most of the hard work and expense is behind.
it's a good time to get this sort of maintenance out of the way to get the most out of our short summer.

Xanadu does well on handicap and is a well sailed boat - lying 4th in the table so far.

Are you likely to be out again this Sunday? If so I will try to remember to say hello.

As I understand it, prior to Sunday Xanado had been raced by Mike and his daughter, they had taken the boat to 2nd position. So when Mike invited us two old blokes and a novice out with him we took him down to 4th place. That says a lot about the young lady's abillities and just as much about those of the two old blokes!
At present, I don't plan to go racing again until the CYC regatta but I will be out on Chausey this weekend. If Mike is really desperate, I may help out again.
