Our little club had it's annual Rumble in the Reach regatta last Saturday. Here is a link to some of the drone footage of the Sports Boat racing. The event has 3 races of 3 laps each with starts staggered over 6 mins to fit handicaps in. Hence the apparent chaos. Each race lasts about 18 mins. Most popular type is Viper 6m (from UK) boats from our club are Turkish Delight a Farr25 made in Turkey and Thompson 9 (oz made)(the biggest) plus a fleet of SB20 a Bull7000 and others.
You will see our club marina on South side then Water Polo pool, Swimming jetty then olewill's boat mooring area.
The area further on is known as Blackwall reach named after that area of Thames River and is a narrowing of Swan River.
Hope you enjoy. olewill

And imagine how useful they'd be to protest committees ...

I was thinking that myself. There were a couple of incidents there that the crews didn't appear to think worth the protest, but if they had I'm sure the committee would've loved to have watched the video.

Stap me, OleWill, that looks like fun racing . You lot haven't lost the competitive edge in the sunshine, have you ? :)

Beautiful video - which drone did you use. I am thinking of one for some aerial shots while sailing.

It is a gorgeous part of the world. Was there over Christmas and enjoyed a trip to Rottnest and managed a few pics from just a little higher.
