Well isn't this the sort you want from an eBay (UK) supplier?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-D...rmostat-Control-Switch-Probe-UK-/192063038165

They have a 99.5% Positive Feedback and promise to dispatch within one day.

Hi Clive
Yes they may do but it take as much as three weeks , I try all the once I can find on eBay and Amazon and once the order taken it give you some date some time in the further .
And we need to keep the fridge going now being full time liveaboard
By the way guys anyone thinking this is a scam you may not know me.
I happy to give you plenty of other users name here that know me personally and will vouche for me .

I am happy to order one & forward it to you

thanks so much but the problem we have is we on the move and at the moment we in a part of Greece where the yacht club come bar know us well and will let me have it send there and once we move we have no forwarding address plus at the moment we have no fridge until we can get one . its 35c now
other wise I could get one send to my son back home and he could forward it to me if it wasn't for that .
I hope some one may have one laying around that would get me out of trouble for now .
but any way really thanks for the offer

If a 2 wire on/off thermostat connection to fridge controller, a bog standard off the shelf manual thermostat should work. No fridge spares suppliers locally for interim fix? Alternatively, shorting the thermostat wires will run the compressor.
graham thanks i know you only trying to help but if it was that simple I would had sorted it out weeks ago and not had two so call fridge engineer dealing with it then given up at a cost now of 200 euro .
the only thing that will keep this fridge cycling without melting the contents of the plate is a timer or what i am asking for here .
its frustrating cos it all comes back to the thermostat but i tested my old one and it works fine two different engineer over weeks arrive to tell me its the thermostat , refuse to except it wasn't , so after hours of messing around vacuum re gas both give up and admit they are foxed out . suggesting it may be the plate, keel cooler , control or the compressor well I think you can guess what I said to that .
The compressor has been running 24\7 as I by past the thermo but I worried if I leave it like that it do the compressor in the end
