Filmed on the non tidal from Teddington to Oxford, interviewing boaters, characters and general all round èccentrics. The EA take some stick. They did themselves no favours by refusing to take part and banning the Lockies from being interviewed. But couldn't stop the volunteers!

Not sure, but I'll keep an eye out for the date. Someone who participated told me it should be broadcast this year.

It's been at least 2 years in the making, they were filming this summer and the shot of my old boat is 2 summers ago.

The sound effects certainly add to the comedy aspect. All that missing is a trombone (wah wah wah etc) as they depart

They seemed to spend a lot of time on the river this year, lost count of the number of times I saw the two boats lashed together cruising the river. I gave up waving as they never waved back...seems odd as I’d received a FB friends request that I couldn’t respond to either way.

I seem to recall a bit of controversy about a broken safety ladder that the film would expose as a public hazard, although they weren’t willing to say where it was so it could be reported and fixed prior to release of the film
