Yay!! When Howard pulls his finger out and stops holding it all back, we can all enjoy sensible levels and flows. C'mon Howard, I want to use the 2013 license I bought nearly four months ago!!
Before Howard arrives and bursts a blood vessel I am sure he would want you to know that he does NOT hold it all back - in fact if they did that the levels would be even higher ! All the weirs will be fully drawn (except possibly up in Moxons little corner of the world) and the lockies will be as pleased as you will when things get down closer to normal again. Will it happen by Easter ? Possibly but its still going to be perishing cold from the looks of things and not my idea of fun boating weather.
(Thinks ... I really should have stuck Bosun in kennels and gone to Oz with swmbo )
Oh yes, this is what it was like at Chertsey Bridge on 25th July 2007 - well, at least there was some blue sky and white clouds ! - I'll get me coat ..........
Yes and I remember last March having fantastic weather and my thinking how smart I had been to buy a boat the year before and how much fun we would have as a family. But that was before Howard got busy:
Dropped about 4'' in the past 24 hrs below Shepperton Weirs at Weybridge only another 2' to go to get normal levels. I have cleared the sludge off the decking for a third time I do hope it will be the last!
