for Forumites to show yet again what a magnanimous bunch you all are.
We have, perhaps rashly, planned to go sailing in Croatia in late October and are a bit worried about the sea temperature at that time of year - around 18 -19c (about 65f for the long-keelers!). Having started to get a feel for how helpful everyone on these Forums is, I have reassured SWMBO that you would be delighted to help.
This will take two people. Person number one should equip himself with a good thermometer, jump over the side, and after a suitable interval make a mental note of the water temperature. Person number two has much the more difficult job of recording what precisely was the reaction of person number one at the point of hitting the water – the liberal use of random keyboard characters may be appropriate here.
That’s it! Post the results on the forum, we will plot the results, and we’ll know whether to pack our swimming cossies!
Thank you all in advance…!
