Chanced the long range weather forcast and booked a days holiday yesterday. It could not have been nicer, gentle breeze, 22degC, sun shining, no rain - fantastic.
Took Harlequin and the family out for the first time on the Crouch since we moved Harlequin there. Spent a good 3 hours going upriver from BHY until we reached a congested bit with a lifeboat moored. We turned around there and went back, and downriver of BYH for a while. There were few boats around.
The obligatory wake shot.
oo blimey, someone let SWMBO drive /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Now thats one contented dog (until we hit the wake from the big sportsboat shown below.
This is the munchkins first every time out and first time in his lifejacket. Granny enjoyed the day out as well..(and yes, that fender sock needs sorting out /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )
A sailing boat (we did slow down as we overtook her)
Another sailing boat. Seemed like most of the sailing boats we simply going from one side of the river to the other. Tacking or something?
Nice looking boat, but the dog wasn't so keen!
A princess 33 if I'm not mistaken.
Finally some moored boats.
This was the longest single trip I have done in Harlequin and everything except for the radar performed flawlessly. I will be confident in longer trips now.
