A Grand Day Out ...(...well lunch, anyway)

Grumpy Oldgit became a really quite charming Oldgit when he invited me and swmbo to join 'im and 'er for lunch at his swanky yacht club on the Mudway.
Brilliant lunch and Fred was not only a charming host but also by some devious means actually finished picking up the tab ! (Sorry, Fred ...we will reciprocate but NOT at the Riverside Brasserie or the Waterside Inn I'm afraid......

Anyways, lunch was excellent and the steamed puddings were something else.

Naturally, we had to inspect the nouveaux bateau but it was B. cold so we declined a trip up/downriver and Fred finally took off in a huff on his own (not really...) and was last seen disappearing into the murkiness under Rochester Bridge.

Thanks guys - a very pleasant Sunday.

and everyone of em "liberated" from Essex when we picked up the boat.One will notice of course the correct wearing of the Union flag ,my club burgee and forum flag.

B1 enjoyed his meat and two veg and I now look forward my visit to that riverside caff in Bray.

For those too mean to buy a copy, it appears that there are plans to open a floating lap dancing club in Maidstone. It will be called "The Yacht Club" and will be aboard a 60ft yacht and a 50 ft catamaran moored stern to stern at Fremlins Moorings.
