As a matter of interest - a few months back I remember someone posting to enquire about sump pums. I discovered I needed one when servicing my engine and noticed a press release in YM about a sump pump for £30. I put it on my Christmas list much to SWMBO's and offsprings amusement ("sad bastard" I sure you know the form).
Anyway, I didn't get one and so started looking around but couldn't find one either - but was quoted prices of £30, £40, even £50.
Finally bought one at LIBS - Plastimo brass job £13.50.
Used it this weekend - it worked brilliantly - no mess and very quick. Thought you might like to know.
