Down on the boat, checking her over after the foul weather we've had.

Opened my "to do" file and find inserted a list of house and garden jobs which I haven't quite got round to.

They don't realise that an ungreased stern gland takes precedence over everything else.

You mean one of these

forget "todo" lists

use "round tuit" lists instead

Like bank accounts, to do lists should be kept separate and private.

Yoda

I disagree, the boat todo list should be pinned on to the cork notice board, white board or whatever system you use to display your todo list, and ensure that every day it is on public display above all other lists, best pinned to the top lefthand corner, always have at least the top three items marked urgent!!!

Bachelors, please disregard all of the above statement, it's not needed in your case,........................

I'm using the NHS method to get on the to do list you first have to be refereed by a specialist. Other wise it is put on the other list (not made public) unless the moon is high in the day on the first Monday of the cockroach or found out by the press, then you get bumped up to the list.

I have a boat 'To do' list on the computer.

I once found various household DIY jobs inserted between the boaty tasks. Some had also been altered. After 'Make new cushion covers' had been added 'You can make them yourself this time'.

If SWMBO makes new cushion covers for you, don't sell your boat the following year. It doesn't go down very well.

Hee hee.... works for me! :D

Was thinking about this to do list for boat thought I should make one, so after consultation we put ours together.:

1) Go sailing,
2) Go Sailing more,
3) In the event that a situation occurs I can do neither 1 or 2:
a) Brake down - Remedy and urgently follow 1&2 to ensure boat usable again.
b) In the even weather is such that one and 2 not possible, consider what item is going to cause 3) a) (is the thing you feel most guilty about not servicing- repairing ) repair / improve these items. Until weather improves and you can revert to 1&2.

I was helping some one on a friends boat, a friend of thier's came down to see what was going on and said WTF are you doing working on a boat in this weather? My friend pointed out that if the weather was any better I would not be helping I would be sailing. As I was the one at the top of the mast in half a gale with a bit of rain, no more was said...

A bit like my to do list in my head. Sailing / boating at the top.
