Im up tommorow so Ill get a pic of the inside have removed the headlining in the vee berth which is where its located on the portside next to the vee berth window

As most have said it's probably because whatever was used as a backing pad that stiffened the area up has become rotten, it needs replacing.

Or get a roll of Coveline tape, which is UV resistant vinyl tape - applies as easily as masking tape and lasts for 5+ years. No masking, no paint, just slap on and done. Seen a guy do this in the boatyard and it took him all of an hour and looked great.

Mine lasted less than one season.
