We left Bushnells and headed up toward Henley.

All in all a fabulous day. Hopefully someone will recognise themselves.

Does anyone know what happened to the hire boat that had run aground at Marsh lock?

Blimey thats the slowest i have seen Cornucopia all weekend, did he have something round the prop!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Great photos Simon.

The hire boat was trying to hold station at the end of the layby as he couldn't get on, eventually gave up and tried to turn round, unfortunately he got beam on the the weir torrent and couldn't complete his turn. He backed off a bit, before hitting the walkway and then with a big surge managed to mount the shallows. An ouboard powered craft came along and took off two largish ladies and then went back to help. As we got into the lock we saw that they had managed to get off the bank.

No worries that we were waiting an hour to get into the lock and you just came sailing past and in to the lock beforehand /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Can't quite see who is helming Cymru. It will not be Geoff he's a great one for giving such duties to others so he can carry on with more serious duties like serving drinks.

I thought that too Byron, but I followed him under Henley Bridge and I'm pretty sure it was him at the wheel. The wheel being to port on that vessel?

You are a bit behind the times. We have done this subject to death on another thread, but it is the river you know with lots of locks and it is actually quite impractical to keep pulling in and putting out the fenders, particularly on some stretches where the distance between locks is quite small.
