Some time back there was a discussion about traffic light regulations for Europe , and the traffic lights at the end of Teddington Lock island were mentioned ...

I can't find it , can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

Cheers

H

Not a good idea to tease the bloke working the lock is it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

H, drop me a PM with the results of your research. When I put the radio controlled LED ones in at your lock (which was loads of hassle and no doubt still hassle for you!) I used CEVNI regs I think.
Fairly sure one of the modes was red and green on together which understandably confuses everyone!

A set for Allington is planned also.
thanks

I'm sure he knows all about me through Marvin /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
But now i know how low the Staines massive are willing to go /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You guys certainly managed to 'Limbo under' the low levels those Birchwood boys set eh?

I make this observation from the safe haven of one of my Brooms two helms, incidentally, having moved up a bit in the boating social circles /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Instead of Ramage slurping my Beer on the bottom table at the next BCC event, It'll be Champers and Caviar with the club hierachy, I'll bet /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Oh yes....the Commodore himself will probably be casually discussing the merits of Corduroy slippers in a marine envitonment......Ah, the bliss!

Me too !

I'm a simple guy at heart ..... ( no , not that sort of simple /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

Squirel , the LED lights are still working , you are right , there is an option for red/green together , which occasionally happens /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif and then the phone calls start. I had to get one of the remotes repaired last year after a summer hand dropped it !!

Do you by any chance have a link to the CEVNI regs anywhere ?

Red and green togther is a valid combination on the European waterways I am used to. Shown at the approach to a bridge or lock it means hang on, we know your're there, the bridge/lock is being prepared and when it opens (red extinguished leaving just the green), traffic from your direction will take precedence. Two reds together means sod off, we're having lunch/coffee/tea or ........we've gone home! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As i said , we have no way of displaying two reds.

We only have two lights , one on top of the other , the top one is red , the bottom one is green.

So all we could display is

Red/Green
Red
Green

Very explicit in Pheran's post above:
