A Dutch Barge

I have a friend that has just renovated an 85 foot Dutch Motor Barge. Where is the best place to sell it on the East Coast?

Don't want to appear flippant, but Holland would seem to be the obvious market for such a craft to me.

In the UK, know of some being used as liveaboards in the Medway/Thames area; so would look to offer her for sale there.

I just thought that maybe there might more information about the boat, words, pictures, etc. which would perhaps be appropriate if someone was trying to sell . .. . my mistake!

Not answering your question directly but it might be worth seeing if a link to the boat could be established on this website/brokerage: http://www.h2ofrance.com/ it seems to be one of the principal conduits for selling that type of boat.

H2O doesn''t do links, it does sale commissions. I think all their boats must be available for inspection in and around St Jean de Losne.

On Friday 22nd., the barge is going to Eel Pie Island for a survey - So if you see it in the Thames you will know where it came from and where it is going

Holland is very obvious choice but, here, you too need to go with appropriate dos and don'ts for reasonable deals on your way
