Just arrived at the dock in Hamilton to catch a our complimentary ferry back to our hotel. Ferry is not insignificant........60ft aluminium catamaran, twin (650 horse) diesels...........recognised the skipper having a soft drink and sandwich ashore, some 100 yds away from the vessel on the town quay............he says " get onboard , make yourself comfy.....I'll be there in 10 mins" ............we board......would you believe it.......both engines running and vessel tethered by 1 piece of string!!!................thought did cross my mind........but not sure if Bermudian jails are as comfy as the Hilton!!!...............................can you imagine that scenario in either Pompey or Southampton??!!...........(fridge was empty though!!!)

Hi Dave - Good to hear you and Louise both arrived safely in Hamilton.

On another note did you manage to book in @ Southampton Town Quay for SBS etc - KR Terry & Babs

Terry.........decision made not to make Town Quay ...........too many things on the go after the holiday.........should be at SBS on Sat 21st............if we decide to come back from Bermuda!

Guess thats thats the ferry from the Hamilton Princess to the Fairmont Southampton? Must have changed it as it used to have huge petrol engines!

Best Steak in Bermuda at the pub next to the dock ....waterlot?

Hang on tight by the way.......Tropical storm Gabrielle looks like it may pass adjacent to Bermuda

TS Gabrielle just about impacting Bermuda.........winds forecast to hit 55 knots during the night..........lots of people moving their boats around the many tiny islands within the harbour...........people lashing garden furniture etc. down........played golf this morning at Belmont Hills in a strengthening breeze.......was fun at times!!

Some nice looking boats here............super yacht named "Sovereign" moored directly across from our room........(sorry but I-Pad is not uploading photos for some unknown reason)........we are located directly opposite Bermuda Royal Yacht Club and Marina............most powerboats moored there are of the sports fisher style complete with lookout towers.......it's a really interesting harbour........lots going on..........wind picking up all the time now as Gabrielle impacts the island.........forecast to have passed us by midday tomorrow.

Hi Dave,

Keep you wig well glued on then!

We are back in Chichester and will probably be around a bit more this winter. It would be good to catch up but I don't think we will be at SBS.
