In the beginning there was The Plan

and then came the assumptions

and the assumptions were without form

and the plan was completely without substance

and darkness fell upon the faces of the staff

and they spoke to their Section Heads saying

"this plan is a bucket of crap and it stinks"

and they went to their managers and said

"it's a pile of dung and none may abide the odour"

and they went to the Regional Directors saying

"It's a container of excrement and is very strong

such that none here may abide by it"

and the Regional Directors went to Head Office saying

"it is a vessel of fertiliser and none may abide its strength"

and Head Office went to the Managing Director saying

"it contains that which aids growth and is very powerful"

and the MD went unto the Chief Executive and said

"it promotes growth and is very powerful"

and the Chief Executive went unto the Chairman saying

"This powerful new plan will actively promote the growth

and efficiency of the Company particularly in this area"

and the Chairman looked upon the plan and saw that it was good

and the plan became policy.

I think its quite remarkable that you have been able to submit this astionishing manuscript at such an early hour on a Friday morning. I will now be able to spend the rest of the day wondering what the hell you are trying to say..........
Was it a good night out?

Wife & I were musing yesterday, about how the only other things as expensive as boats & boaty stuff...was disabled equipment/conversions etc etc (she's in that market too, sadly).

Anyway, she says, "at least I get money off the government for that".

Sooooo...

We need to get boating re-classified as an illness (psychiatric condition,surely?)....on account of we all must be mad to spend so much on it (see recent threads on that!)....then lobby tone ( after he's dealt with the firemen's strike, iraq etc), to bring in "boat-owners living allowance" or some-such.

Good idea?

(obviously I'd have posted this in the boater's lounge, but it ain't open yet<g>)
