Hi
Not having had one before, I looked askance at the neat little greenhouse in the garden of our new home. The shed I could handle: put up shelves and fill with paint, varnish and pots of odd goo.

But a greenhouse? being horticulturally challenged I left it well alone.

But after lifting the boat out I have found out what the greenhouse is for.

It's for keeping fenders in. You lay them on the little slatted shelf things, or hang them up.

The deflated tender goes on the floor, and odd bits of chain like the bobstay or the chain shrouds dangle from the hooks.

Warps, when freshened up, can hang in there to dry.

Next step: I must devise and market a special yatchtsman's greenhouse at nine times the cost of the B&Q ones.

Paint plant pictures inside the windows and fool the neighbours into thinking you have grown the most enormous white marrows! (not such a good idea if your fenders are blue!)
