We opened our UAE office recently and noticed the marina lifestyle every Friday in Dubai Marina is party time. Not sure about the cruising ground though. Left for AD or right for Muscat ?

Hi Mick, just back from there myself. Dubai, very interesting place and some stunning views of the skyline at night. Yep Friday night is party night, the main marina club is just heaving with the "beautiful people" which excluded me for a start !

Actually there are many places to visit with a yacht, especially north toward Oman and Musandam (which looks like the Fjords but without the vegetation) which is a stunning area problem being anything under 60 foot does not have the fuel capacity to spend any time there as there are no fuel depots or marinas, everything is on the hook, but if you have a LRMY / Explorer / Trawler that opens up the entire Gulf from Muscat in Oman to Dubai, Doha Qatar, Manama Bahrain to Kuwait in the North but you have long stretches with no infrastructure or fuel stops so most buyers of planning hull production stuff under 60' are stuck with left or right 100nm and back again.

Ah ha ! you sussed me, yes should be back and forth over the next six months or so, keep you posted dates etc and we'll meet up and go for a sail about.
