to the Forumite who made a post some time ago about how to cream all the muck off your prop. ( This was the brick cleaner trick ). It may have been Fireball, but if it was someopne else, apologies and thanks to you.

The "before" shot was taken after the prop had been pressure washed!!

Nice, we have the same prop. It gives a small engine a lot of bite.

Do you have a pointer to the original thread?


p.s. The prop edges look a bit pink, hope you consulted your chemistry books before using the brick cleaner.

It wasn't me - I've never washed a prop in brick cleaner .... but then I have a smaller prop that I could take into work and get shot blasted!!

I'll own up. It was me.

Done it a few times since, and I still have a prop. Prop bronze seems inert to brick cleaner, just the wee beasties what don't like it uppum. You'll note too, that brick cleaner doesn't remove underwater primer or antifoul from props.
