Ref wires an stuff
Just mentioned on the 'Pull is Strong' post:o

Yeh Tom, it's been all about duff wires this weekend
Philiz an me spent a ferw hours diagnosing summat we didn't want to diagnose if yer gets me drift!
The Kilter rib had run beautifully through the Swellies an on to PD
Then it refused to fire.
Dead as doornail.
So thanks to you an Liz for transport and tea at a time of great stress an embarassment:rolleyes:

Noticed Tom as we towed the RIB away, your engine running and your nav lights on in the Dock:confused:
What was Your wiring snag then?

Reckon we should cross it OK on the plane! ;)

Thanks Philiz for your support and help

Wanna race then? ;)
yep! start at PD and finish at Fort William :P

Tell us about it! :D

Seems one of the wires that's original had a break somewhere along its length from the helm to the flybridge. Very unusual as it was giving 12v on the meter but nothing when connected to the lights, ended up threading a separate wire through and cutting off the one that was giving problems.

At first I thought it was a dry joint (and it still maybe) but if it is I cant find the joint.

First time I have had an electrical problem on LS since I rebuilt her !! (touch wood)
Alls well that ends well and it works again now and all the electrics have Corrosion Block on them now :)
