I posted another thread on the Yachting Monthly forum about a yacht in my local marina here in Turkey Looking for Motor Boat and Yachting edition from 1973. She's an absolute beauty called Castalia and this is the only information I could find about her online http://www.clydeships.co.uk/view.php?ship_listPage=17&a1Page=2740&ref=27580&vessel=CASTALIA.
The present owner bought her in Palma in 1984 and has lovingly cared for her since. She looks almost original and she still has her original Gardner engines with 5,000 hours clocked up. The owner has her original paperwork with records of 3 previous owners.

Looks like a proper yacht with decent bridge,in one of my yachting world Annuals there is a mfv type yacht the owner a military man insisted on three large toilets If your paying for it you have what you want!Certainly boats these days are all a bit much the same in shape etc

The owner told me today he is planning to sell due to age and health reasons. Would anyone have any idea how much a yacht like this might sell for - a very recent insurance survey put her value at €250k. Also where would be the best place to advertising a yacht like this?

There are a number of brokers who specialise in such boats, although given the way the market has moved 250k is at the "cheap" end of the classic MOBO market. Being more workboat derived than yotty and located in Turkey is against it and would guess the market is limited. Classic Boat magazine is the place many brokers advertise.

Talk to Barney Sandeman. He sold my boat, also built at Fairlie : ))

And if it's not his market he will advise on who might be able to help

Classic Yachts - Sandeman Yacht Company

Very difficult to find a buyer for this kind of thing.
But the buyer's looking for something like that are probably prepared to pay and to pay more.

As has already been said, being in Turkey probably does not help.
Good luck!
