Did anyone see the 90m yacht which came into Dartmouth this week? I have a photo and understand it had been built in Germany at a cost of £100mill on its way to Bahamas? It was a stunner
She is still here and her next stop is Gibralter for further trials and and then I believe she is off to Georgetown.
She is 90m long and the largest ( by length ) privately owned yacht in the world.
IF it is the same one that was in the other thread....
And you say that [ QUOTE ]
It was a stunner
[/ QUOTE ], all I can say is that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"!
In my view - and judging by what I could see from the photo - the hull seems reasonably acceptable, in that you can't go far wrong given that length, freeboard, stern overhang and bow choice. The sweep of the sheer is traditional enough.
Pity that they screwed up the superstructure. Again in my view, that structure is an abomination and is an insult to the hull.
Pity that I don't have enough funds to show them what a great boat that hull could have been! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I hope that she will serve the purpose for which she was commissioned and that her owners are happy with what they now own.
Re: IF it is the same one that was in the other thread....
Yes it is the same one and yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder - I wouldn't mind it for Christmas........thanks for your input one and all........
