Less than £50 in B & Q last year and seen there recently even cheaper. Different colour and brand name, but looks like the same machine except mine is rated 850 watts maximum, 650 watts continuous. Despite this it has no problems powering a 750 watt hammer drill.

Pretty sure my Wolf 800 ... which is rated for about 650 cont / 750 max was about 50 quid ..... excellent machine as well ... kept my mates house lights and tv when power failed ...

If its off any interest, my 750 watt quite happily runs a 1.2 kw sds drill.

How noisy are these ?

Was about to put one of the sub 50 quid B&Q generators in my basket this weekend but was put off by the 92dB noise rating quoted on the packaging. Was confused as it looks identical to the one in the link and similar which quote a noise level of around 62dB which sounds more palletable.

Anyone any practical experience of how noisy there really are ? Would you be happy to be 10 feet away from it for an hour without going nuts ?
