I owned an 8m Telstar in the early 90s, It was our first family cruiser and was great fun around the solent. We briefly organised a few rallies of local Telstars and had a lot of fun. We know of several which regularly did channel crossings and longer offshore trips.
Its not fast compared with and F27 or Dragonfly and the build quality was a bit suspect. but it was way ahead of its time.
We also liked the look of the 35ft version and tried to track one down, we eventually found the moulds at Emsworth where they had been modified to create a 39ft version which was apparently called a "Trick 39" called Sourceress which I think did the Round Britain in about 92.

Here are a few photos of Silmaril, and me raising the jury rig mid Atlantic.
A few pics of other entrants as well.
I did qualify in a 60 ft proa Lillian first but that's another story!
Hello Pat!
I'm glad i've found anothe sister ship of the boar that I have salvaged last November (2021)
The pictures attached above are great, however pity they are so small. Do you have any more? I'd love to see the sheet and other technical solutions that could help me to rebuild "Paradigm"
