62ft motor yacht for £99k

We are double checking anyhow but if the builder has checked it then it is highly likely it would not ring any further alarm bells

However as this has now come up we will be looking into those figs in the future.
Richard, I laugh at the idea that you are going to "check it". Why not just decide for yourselves? It is just obviously a typo - one that is easily made - at some stage in the information flow. 150 g/h for one 13-1400kw (say) diesel engine (whether C32 or any other) is ridiculous; for a pair of them it is perfectly ok.

Actually the thing I would have double checked with Feadship is that it had Cat C32 at all. I'm happy to believe it does, and it is reported widely, but I found it a bit surprising in that type of vessel when I first read it. Beautiful vessel, often in Antibes, as was the former Como, and as is Alpha Romeo

Being totally ignorant of the formula for fuel consumption I did wonder how a 20-25M boat uses 200-300lph at full chat to a 42M superyacht using nearly 1200lph.

Well, fwiw I also think that E rated, 2300 rpm engines are not appropriate for a vessel like that.
But IIRC, there are high duty versions of the C32 rated at around 1000 kW at 2100 (or even 1900?) rpm - possibly good enough, for that type of hull.
Not that this changes a lot with regard to the fuel burn debate, anyway! :)

Yep, but that hull needs more than 2 x 1000kw, hence my surprise (and yours!) at those engines in this hull. According to 'net, the engines fitted are the ~1800hp version, which is most definitely "E". Even mine are "D"!

Agreed. No matter what engines, this hull isn't burning 300gph at 16kts.

True but I am not in editorial so would not have seen it hence flagging it up now with them.

All I will say and as you well know, this is a Superyacht with a very experienced owner so being a Superyacht anything and I mean anything is possible !

I think we have all seen or heard of many things that simply don't make any logical sense on these yachts !

But I am checking ...
