Any thoughts on the practical benefit of these? We are based on the West coast of Scotland, so we do get 3/4g on the phones/tablets reasonably well but there are drop outs. We like the idea of boosting the signal range but wonder if the main problem where we are is more topographical than range -I.e. the lovely lumpy bits get in the way…! Not sure the costs justify the presumed benefits…

I use one of these:

Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0001 Cross Polarised 4G Omni LTE Antenna: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

with one of these, (I actually have an older model):

Much much better signal with the aerial than without. I a location where there is no phone signal inside the boat, and a very poor one outside the boat, I can use wifi calling via the router with aerial. If you have some kind of signal, it ought to be improved with this gear.

The router takes a 12V DC supply.... I use a USB 5v to 12V converter cable to power it.
