Passarelle

Strictly speaking a lifting bridge hinged at one end and pulled up at the other.

Most footbridges over canals are passarelles.

It is more specifically used on boats to refer to the gangplank from boat to shore or pontoon (depending whether you're in tidal or non-tidal conditions).
They're most commonly found in Mediterranean berthed boats though a sugarscoop stern makes them less necessary.
