Can't wait. Loved sleeping in a real double bed on a boat, with a huge walk in shower. What a treat. Played with the electrics - learned a lot about three phase shore power. We blew the wharf a few times, and the internal "no power" sirens belt out a fairly significant industrial intensity alarm... (Oops).

Great fun 'though.

Just tinker away. We were under a huge rush to get here out before the winter weather set in... Then the surveyors and Naval Architects up there started to get organised and work with the yard, and stuff started to happen... So we'll get the swim platform, the main upper deck, and aft accomodations fitted up there. The constant fresh water washes and low salinity in Norway was pleasing, rather than having her incomplete in the med for a bit.

There's a bit more rust than last time I was there, so really want all that cleared up before she heads south.

I might try to get back to her for the new year weekend. She's almost ready to be motored, we were installing all the new chartplotting gear the day I left...but still, there's an endless amount to do, everywhere you look, something can be improved or repaired or enhanced. But that's boats... Even little ones...!

For the third year... The plan is to the med (palma/ibeza) by Easter, and Gallipoli by April 25th.

I have now spent 9 nights aboard, for the 18 months I've owned her... And it is addicting.... I love it.

The aft funnels were to tricky to move for now. Helipad is still big enough for a landing pad, but not the priority for this bit. It's to get out and enjoy it .... I've got fishing rods aboard....

Can't wait to have that forum cruise :)
 
Oh, the other point of interest, all the new work is going to be done in aluminum, not steel as it was, so that's a bit exciting.

The yard tells me it's no problem, to manage the join between the steel hull and the aluminum superstructure. We'll see.

The stern draft is now down to 3.0m - about the same as the bow.

So that's a lot different from 3.7m at the stern, not long ago.

And the new docking likes look great. They're about 3 inches thick..!

The guest deck roof extension is next. Giving the bridge a huge balcony and the profile a major step towards nice, from commercial!

The server space allocated by YBW for forumites to store and post pictures is quite limited. In the past we used to use Photobucket but that option has gone. Some of us use Dropbox which works well. Instructions on how to do it are here, it may seem tedious at first glance but once you've done it a few times it's easy and quick. Kudos to forumite Baba Yaga for publishing the little trick which makes it possible.
