Would anyone be interested in starting a movement to move the calender forward 48hours . Similar to the way our clocks go forward.
My thinking is that every bloody Saturday this season its either been blowing a gale, or generally awful. However it is always perfect sailing weather by Monday.
Allowing this shift forward would remove this problem

I reckon the bad weather on a saturday is caused by the air turbulence created by everyone travelling on the roads on a friday night to get away from it all. May be an air turbulence green tax should be levied. Well it doesn't have to be green as such could be any colour you like.

How about a flexi system. If theres two consecutive nice days forecast in any calendar week then those days would be the weekend. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If everybody took a different 2 days as their weekend we would solve the trafic congestion at a stroke, there would also be less congestion at the favourite anchorages/ restaurants etc.

Just think how traffic flows reduce at half-term or in the summer hols.

Searush - sometimes you are positively inspired!

Also, what about a weekend-bank. Where if the weather is crap, you work the weekend and have days off in loue. (Cant spell it - but you know what I mean).

Lieu.

Unless you meant "Looe" which is a nice little harbour down in the South West /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

the problem here is that everyone will then want to take the sunny days off, and also at this rate we still won't get any decent weather at the weekends. Oh well at least the met office are consistent with the last six weekends forecast
