4500 range gas oven problem. Please help

Hi all I have a Neptune 4500 type oven. When I press the ignition and hold I’m the dial in for the grill it lights.
when I release the pressure on the dial the grill goes out. I have owned the oven for 10 years. Could anyone offer me some advice. I’m grilling bacon with my finger on the dial atm.

The flame detector problem ,it is to turn gas off if flame goes out , could you have moved it out of the flame.
