I’d say you would want to check your maths. A Beneteau Flyer 12 has 1200L diesel tanks. Based on the common figure of 1mpg (1 gallon = 4.5L) that we often hear for a 40ish footer, you’ll be burning 90L per hour at 20 knots. 20 knots for 400nm takes 20 hours. So you’re talking 1800L for that trip.

I will indeed. You make very valid point and I have more than likely got it wrong. Going slower to extend the range would take it beyond 20 hours continuous running which is stretching the possibility to far.
