3rd Party Insurers

I'm having insurance troubles. I need 3rd party cover on the dockside for a couple of months in Turkey as the boat is being worked on and no survey can be done on it in that state and a survey is a precondition of cover. This would not seem an unusual situation but it has taken the new insurers by surprise - they "dont do" 3rd party, and I'm struggling to find a broler that does.

Any leads?

Should be no problem changing your cover from in commission to laid up ashore. However, the saving is minimal and many companies will not reduce the price for a short period. I have just done it for one of my boats - came down from £170 to £150 a year. Best just to notify your insurer of your changed circumstances.
