Inboard diesel engines Dylan? :)

the engine has gone along with the slug

that was why I sold it

spares no longer available

if they were I could just have replaced the gearbox

and what company would cover repairs to 50 year old inboards?

so now I have four outboards

this coming week I am planning to take katie L to York

I shall be using the Tohatsu but taking a spare engine with me

wonderful

good price on the insurance though - innit!

Because they have learned what right wing reactionary you are after your comments on the Blessed Arthur.
Where did you get the mouse breeding?

Such heresy puts your freedom in jeopardy.

Are those shackles any good?

Try Craftinsure they were very good when a boat insured by them tried to mount us in the moorings.

I have the bit of apper to show the lock keeper on the way to York this week

in the lounge I am in the Pinko corner

so it is good to swing both ways

as for the shackles - not tried them yet

there are youtube plans that show you how to make them

really.... is that true

does anyone else do that here

of course such an assertion will not cut much mustard with lock keepers or harbour masters

they want to see a bit of paper with an insurance company name on it and a name of the boat

Dylan

I did with my old 24fter, i think the cut of for max sise is usualy 26. It even covered me to enter races.
all you need is a copy of your house insurance with the boat listed for liability 1 sentance. authorities happy.

Well done, that's another pension enhancement programme blown then. They'll all be making them now

But you do need the fids to get it right. Makes the first one a bit pricey.

no they won't - they will take one look at the vid and go.... "too complex for me"

and making them as perfectly as the ones in the video from http://www.ropeloft.co.uk/ is beyong my ability - unless I spend a lot of time fiddling with ropes and less time sailing
