3gm30f water pump plan.

Coincidentally it started dripping yesterday. How could i tell if it is just a seal that has gone?

All three seals and bearings are done at once. Did you get the email I sent with their details?

Yes thank you, received. I am just a bit nervous of the operation particularly re the shaft needing to be renewed or not and timescales etc. So was searching for a soft option. Thanks once more for all your input.

did by any chance, and whilst posting this thread had a go at the belt and tightened it "just in case"? I agree with a previous poster that it's easy to load the bearings like that.
Mine is definitely slack after the rebuilt which included a new shaft fabricated by my machinist, new bearings, seals and even a new "wedge" thingie that fits in between the inlet and outlet. Effectively pump was royally foo bared. But since it's on the generator and don't rely on it, thought I'll try a full rebuilt and see how it goes. Still worked out cheaper than replacing the thing and mind being on a 2pole generator it's working at 3k rpm all the time. Now circa 150h still fine.

I think this is beyond me. I had to heat the nut to get the pulley off. Then it took me about an hour to get the circlip out. Then i took to thumping the shaft with a lump hammer but it doesn't budge. ?
