I may miss the turn of speed of the Windy when I want a bit of fun.
Don't be mistaken, speed is NOT the stronger point of the GM37.
I mean, yes, her speed performance is above average, but imho it's in seakeeping that she really shines.
Smooth and rock solid, on any kind of sea you might want to be out for pleasure.

Can't speak for the Prestige TBH, 'cause I never tried her, but I'm very skeptic that she can be anywhere near the Windy in this respect.

All the best anyway, no matter what your final choice will be! :)

Yes - I do agree that it is the hull which makes the GM37 stand out and I am sure that it is far better than the Prestige. I enjoy this with my Targa and it is one of my concerns about the Prestige although I tend to only go out if the sea it not too lumpy and wind is less than F4.

This is one of the areas I will be seeking advice from and will be asking owners for opinions!

I looked at a Windy 37 prior to buying my Sealine. Although a very nice boat in many ways, I just couldnt get over the fact that the only way to stand at the helm is to open the rather small sunroof and poke your head out of the top. Personally I couldnt live with that.

True, that's probably the worst bit of design in that boat.
Though visibility while seated is unusually excellent, to be fair.

I always wondered what Osmotech could do about the helm and the roof opening...there is a truly great boat there I always thought and always wondered why Windy didnt modify it more. I suppose it just kept on selling. I am sure I once read that Johnsen claimed he just drew the hulls by eye !
