Hi,
Something which I think might be of interest!
I've recently bought a 30ft Colin Archer Style double-ender, Ferro, Gaff Ketch. My intentions are to renovate, re-fit... and bugger off round the world for a few years!

Im doing a blog of my progress, if you click DROMENGO ADVENTURE on www.tallship.org.uk

Im about to become a student at the UKSA, Cowes. So i'll be doing my Ocean Yachtmaster... then see where the wind takes me!
There's very few people do this kinda thing at my age - a great shame!.. Its gotta be a much better way to see the world, far more environmentally friendly, and you actually get to see, feel and taste the culture that you pass through!

I'll try to post some pics below - but checkout the blog, and comments would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Phil

Hi Phil.
Nice to hear from you again.
Looks a good buy. Are you planing to bring her back to the Pool.
Let us know your progress.
Do you need any passage crew?.
Cheers David.

Give it your best shot. Wish I had your potential for doing something as exciting as that !

Ideal boat for what you propose. Best of luck.

Good blog.
Good luck.
My first boat was 40 foot of tired wood, very fast and pretty but a leaker.I dont think you will have that problem!

Good to see someone close to my own age involved with boat's.... people laugh at me when I say I spent 40k on a boat instead of a sports car... no speeding points for going fast on water /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
