This is my favourite so far and has been re-engined and new-ish sails.

Looks promising, but a bit short on photographs.

I don't know how close you are to that boat, but if you would be making a long trip to view, you should try to get some more photos from the broker to help decide if it's worth the trip.

Also ask how old the photos are... some think it's OK to advertise boats with photos that are 5 years old.

I assume their not very good then lol. Yachting monthly did an article on one few months back and they seemed to like it. Raised cockpit seemed a little odd but great inside.

Hi, I was in the same situation, looked extensively at the saddler and ended up buying the Merlin due to the more modern hull shape and the aft cabin. She was a bilge keel, pointed well and picked up her skirt at 10kts, not great in light winds. The westerly owners club are fantastic, if you go Westerly watch out for the famous Westerly droop (headlining). Well built and will look after you in a blow.

got a S32 b/k earlier this year.

no complaints :)

aft cabin would be nice but often they are cramped and mean that the main saloon gets cramped as well.

we preferred the S32 cockpit to the S34 and it just had a "feel" that we liked.

The fulmar will be out of your price range I think.

Nothing wrong with a Seahawk, although the fore cabin is a bit small. The "raised cockpit" isn't odd, it's a centre cockpit boat, this gives it an excellent aft cabin. But, it's 2 or 3 times the OP's £15k ask.

The Moody 33 was built with both fin and bilge keels. Mine was a fin but I looked at a couple of bilge keelers when I was buying
