However, makes sense as cruises I have been on seem that folk upt'north get a free cruise every year on their southern financed benefits, and the sea distance from the southwestern approaches to Liverpool isn't much different to Southampton, and look at the travel costs it will save the taxpayer, who has after all financed the Liverpool Cruise infrastructure !

Seriously the connection between Cunard and Liverpool goes back 175 years , one of the 3 graces of Liverpool is the Cunard Building (http://www.liverpoolworldheritage.com/visitingthewhs/areas/pierhead/cunardbuilding.asp) so its fitting really .I hope you will be coming up for that one !
