As promised, I did (try to take a few pictures of the 3 Queens in New York last week. I hadn't taken into consideration that it would be dark so adly there is not much to see.

It was good to be there, even if we did have to wait nearly 90 minutes for the other girls to show up from the Manhatten terminal (we left from Brooklyn). The QM2 did a couple of leisuly spins while the whole financial sector (or so it seemed) took piccies /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Anyway, my snaps for what its worth plus a few of night time NY for good measure.

Oh, and while we are on the ships forum, a few passengers on the QM2 with us had crossed the Atlantic onboard Queen Victoria. Now, Cunard say while QM2 is a liner (and carries the RMS title no less) the Queen Vic is most definitly a cruise ship in the more traditional sense of the word. That said, those on the QV said they had a most uncomfortable crossing. A photograph in the gallery at the end of our cruise showd perhaps why:

Taken January 7th, North Atlantic.

The first two "queens" were launched by their namesakes, then came the QE2, still launched by HM.
QM2 and Q Victoria seem completely bizarre choices, as obviously not launched by the people commemorated.
But accepting that illogicaliy, why has Queen Alexandra been left out?
