Pity they wont fit an F36 as ours is knackered

A few peeps have PMed asking detialed querstions so here are some more pix. This is all I've got pix-wise, though the seats are the same as all other Sq58s so there might be some in a marina near you! The slider mechanism under the middle seat isn't included, you just get the seats as far down as their plywood bases. Also the pics show the flip up part of the cushion flipped up/down in synch between the three seats, but these mechanisms are independent so you can have one seat flipped up and the next one not, etc. (Sorry if I'm stating the obvious here...!)

Yes, in the sense FL get them custom made. The Recaros are bought by FL sans headrests. FL then have a local stainless steel firm that are jigged up to make the headrest hoops for them (forgotten the name, got a note of it somewhere). The s/s hoops have got long pegs in s/s with notches in them, like car headrests, that fit into the sockets in the recaros. All a very nice job

So I got the seats from Fairline (thru EBY) and they were ordered witht he hoops. FL got the seats from Recaro, the hoops from the s/s firm, and sell the complete package at an all in price of about £1500 ish

As an alternative the seats can be bought by FL from Recaro with cushion headrests, which FL then re-upholster to match the FL uphalstery. See the targa 52 on FL website. I prefered the hoops version so got those.

fab. seats, you don't have 2 more for the back row do you. As we have 3 very (uncomfortable) upright seats newly mended for the front row, but unfortunatly 2 seats at the back that match them.

Sorry no! In fact I dont even have three, cos they're now bought by a forumite. You guys use your boat so much that you should treat yourself to a set of the Recaros for your front row, like my picture just 3 or so posts above this. They are wonderfully comfortable. Go on, you deserve it!

VERY VERY /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The standard seats can be a little upright on a longer passage. But I like the new ones. Good choice!

I had those handles on the back of my Phantom seats and they were very useful if you like standing while cruising. It's sometimes nicer to feel the sea moving through your feet.

They're not really head restraints as not many people drive into you at roundabouts etc. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yup Roger is right, they're not really headrests. They are great handles for people walking around the flybridge when underway. Anyway, if you are worried about being rear-ended and whiplashed at a roundabout by the N Wales drivers (oooh er) you can have them with normal rectangle cushion headrests if you want, like this t52 :-)

Come to think about it. I've just had some new brackets made for my seats, just like yours, but no top bit, maybe would have looked better with the bull bars at the top. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

[/ QUOTE ]R U joking? With any fast boat capable to withstand some serious seas, you surely don't want a steel bar behind your head!
In this respect, even if the T52 is not really aimed at wave jumpers (à la Magnum Bestia), I can see why FL used the cushion headrests on her, rather than those with the handle bar.
Which otoh are very nice, and perfectly fine on a big flybridge boat.
