Ivan (his widow Linsey still owns it) ran the Sutton Yard at GREAT WAKERING.

This is Sutton's Wharf in Rochford.

Funny to relate, but Great Wakering YC, who used to have a barge in Ivans mill pool, are now next door to Suttons Wharf Rochford.

I had a mooring there, and had a hell of a job extracting my boat to get away.

Does anyone know / or does anyone have a tele number I can use to make sure someone is doing something to look after Glayva in John's absence?

Paul, the Roach Sailing Association is doing a grand job as usual, and have done all the remedial required.

It is the best tenner a year you could ever spend, and you would learn loads about handling boats in yards, and repairs to ermm, eclectic craft of all sorts.

looks like I could do with taking Artemis there after all. Come the Spring, I will looking for someone to help with the repairs.
