Went out for a couple of hours early evening up to take a look at Reading Festival site and the clean-up operation (my son and his mates wanted to take a look after a fab weekend there).
On the way back we met our neighbour from T&K waiting to go through Reading Lock, along with 3 other boats.
One was a big rental from Caversham with three young families aboard and around 6 littluns between them. Had such a laugh with then in the lock; helped them get their lines on; suggested where to moor at Sinning and where the Bull is.....lovely people.
Mooring at Sonning overnight. Heading down through Henley tomorrow.
If you see them DO have a bit of fun with the kids.....they're a lovely bunch of people.....and they welcome help/advice/ a bit of banter.
Shame there aren't more like that
