The Azimut AZ42 and Beneteau 13.80 can have 3 cabins also. If you dont mind the idea of the lower dinette converting to a 3rd sleeping area, then most Brooms eg. 38/42CL, 41/415 will also fit the bill, also the Atlantic 38/42

F37 is def twin cabin, the F43 and F42/5 were available as either 2 or 3 cabins by sacrificing the dinette on the F43, and going galley up on the 42/5. From what I understand, tricab versions of either are as common as rocking horse droppings.

Don't know how much you are spending i.e. are you after something newish. Anyway, a Fairline 40 (from early 80's to late 80's) is a 3 cabin planing cruiser albeit the aft cabin is pretty small. However with a wee bit of ingenuity you can have a double bed for two adults plus a seperate berth for a small child in the cabin. There's a sink and a sea toilet, however the toilet is under a berth which is impractical unless you like a lot of hassle. If you fancy a Fairline 40 give me a shout as I am thinking of selling my late 80's boat. Email me at andysteven@ntlworld.com and I will send you pictures and a description etc... If you are after something newer, I wish you the best of luck.

Hi

asteven221- many thanks Im going to have to have a good look round, I must admit I like the thought of the rodman but looking at other possible alternatives wouldnt go to more than abou the price of a rodman 41 but then again Im not snobbish about it being newer or older , just has to feel right to me. I'll have to have a good search before making any decision. Thanks for responding

Smee - I had a look at the neptunus 41 when it was first at sibs 2001/2 time ( cant remember which year it was) It seemed ok but not sure about the heavy framing of the screen and some of the workmanship inside the cabin, not saying it was awful but not sure about it, apparantly it was an early boat and they knew it had flaws and were addressing them but havent had chance to look at them since

many thanks

Kevin
