2nd alternator fitting to Yanmar 4JH2E

Has anybody fitted a high output alternator to a Yanmar (4JH2E) engine in addition to the standard 55A alternator? I'm looking at doing this but the mounting of the alternator on the engine block seems to be the biggest hurdle. Any experience or advice would be most gratefully received.

We have a 4JHE 44HP Yanmar, which I think is the same base model as yours, that has the second alternator fitted as a factory option, so it is possible. Both our alternators are 90A, the Yanmar (Hitachi) one was an option I believe over the standard 55A, but strangely the 2nd alternator is a Magnetti Marelli (Lucas). We run both of ours through Adverc regulators. It might be worth talking to Barrus to see if there is a kit to add the 2nd one.
