290DP Problem

Out on Sunday - great day until I discovered I'd lost a prop. The securing bolt for the cone nut had shared its head off. What I have now is a s/s smooth shaft about 1 inch long sticking out. I cannot get anything to grip it to remove. Any suggestions anyone?

I broke my retaining bolt by accident last season - I found i was able to get the last bit of it out with a hammer and a fine punch and a little patience got it too unscrew. Otherwise it would probably have to be drilled out.

Thread it, put two nuts on it and undo the inner nut. Not sure how easy it is to put a thread on SS though.

Stilson wrench should grip that.

Thanks for the replies. Stilsons wouldn't work but that could just be me.....

Anyway, Halfords stud extraction tool worked a treat!

Use a stud extractor, the more force you need to undo it the more the extractor will grip, works every time.
