Thanks guys for the advise, I tried making C spanner but not strong enough so I'm going to get some 1/4 plate, can you tell me do you need to heat the bloody things up first, oh by the way you can buy the c spanner from costalotvolvo for a mere £52+vat, Cheers /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I made my C-spanner by modifying a very solid open-ended spanner - made pins, drilled spanner, silver soldered pins in. Just make sure the pins are the right size and well engaged - the end cap is soft and damages easily. I'd offer you mine, but it was years ago and I don't know what happened to it.

I didn't need to heat mine, but it's worth a try. After all, you are not worried about damaging the seals!

P.S. I've had a spare SP 16x15R prop. kicking around my garage for many years. I had it for my Sealine 255 in case I ever needed to run a distance on one engine. It's in excellent condition and, if you want it, you're welcome. Just PM me.

thanks Guys again, I got some 12mm plate from the scrap yard £5 cut out and used both ends as internal nut has different pin spacing, had to heat up the port side though, just waiting to to contact supplier before I heat up the shaft as I can't move the inner nuts, I'll check my prop size fatlady first thanks
