27m leopard yacht used as a trawler?

We are looking at. 27m leopard with 16v m93s. The boat has a reported 40 knit cruise. How does the boat perform at displacement? 10knots? Goal is to eventually cruise up the east coast USA in a platform that is truly yacht like and under 1m. Any advice?

It would do the job but factors to consider:
1. Will have no stabs. Arugably for this use you need stabs
2. saloon and galley are down in hull with tiny windows. For passage making many would want saloon+galley up on main deck with big windows, with only cabins on lower deck. Depends partly on climate and your seasickness resistance
3. These boats were mostly fixed price with custom interior. There are some interiors out there that are a bit hard to digest
4. $1m is sort of where you are at pricewise, if not a bit less. The market has almost disappeared for these boats when they're 10 years old. Bernie Madoff's is still for sale, last time I looked, but has a very hard to live with interior

Thanks - Interior looks alright to me (nothing that some bright scatter cushions couldn't fix). Oh well, too late now .

Ermm... Don't want to teach anyone to suck eggs, but what's wrong in actually using a TRAWLER as a trawler, instead?
I would struggle to think of a more wrong boat to be used as a trawler...
