25 year old liferaft

I have just inflated my 25 year old 1999 Zodiac 6 person liferaft in my garden. It was last serviced in 2013 and has been kicking around in my garage for five years. It inflated perfectly! But sadly now will be cut up and taken to the dump. But interesting to see how well made and resilient these things are.

Why?

why? the dump won’t take them with a gas bottle, flares etc in them, they need to be separated out into metal and non recyclable waste.
