240v mini-oven to replace microwave - anyone done it?

Tbh we have the same issue as yourself Alt. That looks very interesting, be very interested to hear some first hand reports.

I have a halogen oven, the smaller size (7.5l) and have cooked whole roast chicken, as well as roast beef and roast potatoes for four without any problems. Before getting it I used to buy a lot of takeaways and ready meals, but now I always cook, and so I think they're great.

Obviously the glass bowl gets hot, but doesn't need much side clearance, although the lid/element needs to be kept away from things that may ignite.

We have one of these & it does a very good roast, we also have one at home, never use the micro bit if you wish, but it does superb roast pots with a little micro & 220c convection.
